Designed and led by pediatric occupational and speech therapists with expertise in supporting children with diverse learning, communication, and sensory needs.

Orchid & Ivy enrichment programs are approved providers through Wisconsin CLTS (Children’s Long-Term Support) allowing eligible participants to use waiver funding for enrollment.

Week 1 – Smart Starts in the Kitchen

Safety, Tools, and Skills
Participants learn foundational kitchen safety, hygiene, and how to safely use common kitchen tools while preparing a simple recipe.

Week 2 – Breakfast Creations

Starting the Day with Independence
Participants prepare simple and nutritious breakfast options while learning about balanced meals and morning routines.

Week 3 – Lunch Bunch & The Self-Sufficient Supper Club


Participants create simple lunches and suppers that can be prepared at home or packed for work or community activities.

Week 4 – Made with Love, Served with Pride

Baking and Sharing
Participants make a baked good while learning that cooking can be a meaningful way to communicate care, gratitude, and connection. Together, we explore how preparing food for someone else can express feelings that words sometimes cannot. Participants will also create a mason jar ingredient mix to take home or gift to someone special as a gesture of appreciation and kindness.
