Therapist‑Designed Program

Designed and led by pediatric occupational and speech therapists with expertise in supporting children with diverse learning, communication, and sensory needs.

Orchid & Ivy enrichment programs are approved providers through Wisconsin CLTS (Children’s Long-Term Support) allowing eligible participants to use waiver funding for enrollment.

Course Outline

Week 1: Cooking is an Experience!
Explore cooking through the 5 senses, visual recipes, pouring, mixing, measuring, and safe cutting practice.

Week 2: Smoothie Scientists

Blend colorful smoothies while practicing pouring, peeling, squeezing, and operating kitchen tools. Make frozen treats and yogurt creations using dipping, drizzling, and decorating skills.

Week 3: Dip, Dunk, Crunch
Mix, measure, scoop, and create delicious homemade dips while exploring fresh fruits, vegetables, crackers, and other tasty dippers. This hands-on class builds kitchen confidence, fine motor skills, sensory exploration, and healthy eating habits.

Week 4: You Are ONE Smart Cookie!
Celebrate with cupcake or cookie decorating while practicing making choices, scooping toppings, decorating, packaging, and communication.
