Designed by pediatric occupational and speech therapists and led by pediatric occupational therapist with expertise in supporting children with diverse learning, communication, and sensory needs.

Cost

Cost per series is 180.00/45 dollars per class. Orchid & Ivy enrichment programs are approved providers through Wisconsin CLTS (Children’s Long-Term Support) allowing eligible participants to use waiver funding for enrollment.

Week 1 – Understanding Sensory Systems

Build a strong foundation by exploring the eight sensory systems and how they influence behavior, emotions, learning, and everyday participation. Participants will discover their unique sensory patterns and gain a better understanding of sensory seeking, sensory avoiding, and individual sensory styles.

Week 2 – Triggers, Signals & Regulation Needs

Learn to recognize early body clues and identify signs of stress, overwhelm, and dysregulation before behaviors escalate. Participants will explore the Window of Tolerance, co-regulation, and practical ways to respond with curiosity and connection.

Week 3 – Regulation Strategies That Work

Develop a personalized toolbox of evidence-informed strategies to support regulation across environments. Topics include movement and heavy work, calming strategies, sensory diets, visual supports, and building flexible daily routines that promote success.

Week 4 – Creating Connection & Confident Support

Bring everything together by learning how to create sensory-friendly environments, strengthen communication and relationships, and confidently support regulation at home and in the community. Participants leave with an individualized action plan and practical tools for long-term success.
